Even though he’s hot no matter how he wears his hair, we were all scratching our heads in confusion when Rob Pattinson shaved his luscious locks — but HollywoodLife.com learned the reason behind the major change!
Have no fear, Robert Pattinson lovers! HollywoodLife.com has learned R-Patz fully intends on growing back his beautiful hair and we now know why he showed up at the People’s Choice Awards Jan. 11 with a shaved head.
“All the stuff he had to do for Cosmopolis really messed up his hair,” an insider told us. “It was all over the place and in different lengths. Then he had to cut it again for re-shoots, and while it sort of grew back for the Breaking Dawn premiere, it was a little off still.”
We were told the 25-year-old hunk decided to shave it all off and start from scratch so “it will grow back to normal.” Whew!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may have reportedly spent the Christmas holiday apart, but they rang in 2012 together. But rather than weave through the glitz and glam of Las Vegas or hit up the celeb-dotted hotspots of Los Angeles or venture to New York City’s Times Square for the ball drop, they went for their standard (and refreshing) discreet approach for New Year’s Eve: a house party!
As Hollywood Life reports exclusively, a musician friend close to Pattinson and Stewart’s revealed that the couple changed their NYE plans at the last minute. “Rob and Kristen decided to go to a house party in Los Feliz. They wanted to bring in the New Year with some close friends and have a low-key night. They originally planned to have a five-course meal at Rob’s favorite West Hollywood hotel, Palihouse, but decided to do something more intimate,” the source said.
A dinner at Palihouse would no doubt have been grand, given the hotel’s luxe-lodge yet urban-cool digs, not to mention its courtyard brasserie’s impressive and mouth-watering seasonal menu (lobster grilled cheese and truffle fries, anyone?). That said, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart making and keeping their reservations at Palihouse would no doubt have led to piles of paparazzi and mounds of fans at the venue, all eager to focus on the pair, either capturing photos to sell or surreptitiously snapping smartphone pics to impress their Twitter followers with their brush with celebrity.
So who could really blame Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for wanting something more intimate and starting the new year on the down-low? The pair is in the spotlight not only for their blockbuster careers what with The Twilight Saga and, most recently for Kristen Stewart, Snow White and the Huntsman, but also because of their status as one of Hollywood’s hottest “it” couples who are, yes, still together. And with their attendance at a private party with friends — and no peeping paparazzi to capture a midnight kiss — it sounds like they brought in 2012 on the right foot.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson appears to have gotten everything he wanted for Christmas this year – thanks to the creative thinking of his girlfriend Kristen Stewart. The British actor is reportedly a keen musician, so Stewart’s pricey gifts reportedly went down a storm, according to US Weekly magazine.
Just a few days before Christmas, Kristen travelled to Norman’s Rare Guitar Shop in Tarzana, California, to pick out some festive gifts for her boyfriend. Accompanied by her father John, the actress spent time chatting with the knowledgeable staff and discussed various rare instruments available for purchase. After a long hard think, she eventually decided upon a 1947 K&F Lap Steel and a 1959 Fender Jazzmaster – the total? A cool $12,000. Rob is reportedly a regular in Norman’s Guitar Shop, so Stewart opted to visit the legendary store after running into difficulties deciding upon a Christmas gift for her beau. The actor’s love for music is no secret – he was reportedly in the running to play late Hallelujah singer Jeff Buckley in a forthcoming biopic, but lost out on the role to Penn Badgley.
Pattinson and Stewart – who are assumed to have been in a relationship for some time – recently starred together in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 1, which broke box-office records worldwide. The final movie in the huge grossing franchise hits cinemas in November 2012.
